They Did It and So Can You!

The City of Fayetteville Citizens' Academy will hold its fifth class this spring from Tuesday, April 19 to Tuesday, May 31. The next Citizens’ Academy will be the most exciting and informative class ever, as citizens will participate in the strategic planning process and learn more about how to participate in City boards and commissions. The Citizens’ Academy meets once a week for seven weeks to find out what City departments do and how they do it. Most classes are held in City Hall and the Citizens’ Academy allows students to interact with staff.

One of the goals of the Citizens' Academy is to help citizens understand what goes on behind the scenes to provide services to residents. The City hopes that informed citizens are able to take information to community groups and share with neighbors. It may even encourage some to be involved in building a better community by becoming members of boards and commissions.

• Basic Necessities
• Bricks & Mortar
• Behind the Scenes
• Transportation
• Serving with Pride.
